Abstract
|
In this paper, I decided to take a closer look at the relationship among the various social science disciplines. Economics student Noémi Péter assisted me in this work. We focused on four disciplines: economics, political science, sociology, and law. We selected five leading journals from each of these disciplines and reviewed one volume of each, that is, all articles published in 2004. Where do we stand now with respect to separation and cooperation in the social sciences? What can be done to bring these disciplines closer together so that they will provide a coherent multipronged approach to the problems they now each confront separately? I attempt to give only a partial and draft response here, mainly to inspire the reader to think about these difficult questions. A deeper understanding of these problems requires more thorough and
extended research.

Abstract
|
While the economists' discrepancies on the human nature being a main hidden source of the modern crisis of economic theory, the author of this essay attracts attention to the new findings of genetics and psychology as an appropriate base for the understanding of economic behavior. The achievements and deficiencies of recent Nobel Prize laureates are examined from this point of view, and the alternative (psycho-typological) approach to economic issues is suggested.

Abstract
|
Bulgaria and Romania were admitted to the European Union (EU) on January 1, 2007, thus making their longcherished desire into practice. It was not easy path for the both countries to reach this date. Due to their worse political and economic performance, the both countries were not admitted to the EU on May 1, 2004 together with 8 Central European and Baltic countries. Their accession delayed for two years and 8 months. Ialnazov, Dimiter (2003) argues that countries which escaped from socialism with $B!H (Bcoup d $B!G (B etat by nomenklatura $B!I (B, tended to be partial reformers, and the result has been a vicious circle of corruption and rentseeking, locking these countries into a $B!F (Bbad $B!G (B socialist trajectory. In his opinion, in order to extricate themselves from their postsocialist trajectory $B!H (Bexternal anchor $B!I (B are necessary. For Bulgaria the first $B!H (Bexternal anchor $B!I (B is the currency board system, and the second $B!H (Bexternal anchor $B!I (B is its prospect for the EU accession. Bulgaria adopted the currency board system in 1997 while Romania did not. What the both countries have in
common as the $B!H (Bexternal anchor $B!I (B is their prospect for the EU accession. The reason for why the EU changed its policy toward South East European countries (SEECs) in 1999 seems to be that the
EU perceived it necessary for the EU itself to lead reforms in SEECs including Bulgaria and Romania. These external anchors have satisfactorily played their roles in Bulgaria and Romania. International
financial associations such as the IMF and the World Bank have strongly supported the transition to a market economy in the both countries by carrotand-stick policies. However, Bulgaria and Romania are facing big challenges, that is, fighting against organized crimes and reforms of the judicial system. Another challenge for the two countries after accomplishing the EU accession is to enter the EMU (Economic Monetary Union) and adopt Euro as soon as possible. The both countries will have to overcome structural fragility of their economies.

Abstract
|
This scientific paper discusses how estimated spreadsheets functions in logistics networks optimisation. The suggested working hypothesis for efficacy of estimated spreadsheets in designing logistics networks is proved and a practical example. In this way the given model can be applied to all logistics networks of similar problem capacity. Logistics network model confronting estimated spreadsheets present a real world at a level needed for understanding the problem of optimisation of logistic networks. Applied scientific research for recognition of the set hypothesis is based on analysis and synthesis method, mathematical method and information modelling method.

Abstract
|
This paper looks at the impact a choice of monetary policy regime in a small open economy has on households. The choice of monetary policy in a small open economy analyzed in this paper is the choice between the fixed and variable exchange rate. The paper creates a dynamic model conditioned on the real exchange rate. In the end paper looks the data for the confirmation of theoretical assumptions. The data used is from Slovenia and Croatia which have experience both fixed and floating monetary regimes in last 15 years.

Abstract
|
The old principles no longer work in the age of Globalization. Businesses have reached the old model's limits with respect to complexity and speed. The real problem is a ruinously dysfunctional mismatch between today's business environment and the classic business model. Namely, the wrong model may transform a company into the vehicle of its own death. Great shifts - genuine and radical transformation- have been shaping the economy and business environment in recent decades. Technology, especially information and communication one, has radically altered the requirements for building and managing a successful business. In this new business climate, although the basic command-and-control business model has survived, it has lost its effectiveness significantly. The successful companies in the future will be ones wise enough to harness the full potential of the entire organization in the rapidly changing business environment. The world is going to be too tough and competitors too ingenious as companies are shaken loose from traditional ways of conducting business. The winners will be the unbridled firms that are responsive to challenges and adroit in both creating and capturing opportunities. To match a business environment that is more networked within and among
companies, the ability to manufacture value will have to be distributed across the company to much a greater extent than in the past. Additionally, learning is the key competency required by any organization that wants to survive and thrive in the new knowledge economy. Market champions keep asking learning questions, keep learning how to do things better, and keep spreading that knowledge throughout their
organization. Learning provides the catalyst and the intellectual resource to create a sustainable competitive advantage. Knowledge organizations obtain competitive advantage from continuous learning, both individual
and collective. In organizations with a well established knowledge management system, learning by the people within an organization becomes learning by the organization itself. In other words, managers need to transform themselves. In order to get a complete picture how educational level of managers and entrepreneurs affect business success, author stresses that it is necessary to determine general personal knowledge and education, then expert knowledge or various specializations in certain areas and lastly to identify their skills. In total, all this is necessary in order, apart from other (provided financial means, location, equipment, partners and business associates, market and other), to make a final decision for starting a business and define how to manage it. Many scientists think that knowledge is the most important requirement for business success and therefore it is the factor to which the most attention is being paid to. Recent researches in the USA show that business owners who were not educated enough for the business in which they were engaged, were not successful (80% of their businesses failed during the first year of its existence). On the opposite, those entrepreneurs who were educated and who showed constant interest for improvement have increased their business success for 60%
after the completion of the basic training programs for entrepreneurship and management. Therefore the author pinted out that the more highly skilled workforce should be beneficial to organisations. Additionally the human capital approach reflects the view that the market value of the firm increasingly depends on intangible rather than tangible resources. The three main components of human capital are described as a) early ability ,b) qualifications and knowledge acquired through education and c) skills competencies and expertise through on and off the job training. This would suggest that individual capability is enhanced by greater qualifications and higher skill levels. If this can be accessed and used to good effect in the firm then better human capital should, ceteris paribus, enhance organisational performance. Better organisational performance
should, in turn, translate into better national performance.

Abstract
|
The initial thesis in this paper is the basic condition for completion of (economic) transition in Serbia through incapacitating of enterprises for business activities within the Internal European Union Market. The second thesis is that the solution of this problem is based on the paradigm of reindustrialisation in the context of: (1) enhancement of all forms of management, in particular in the field of export clusters,
business networks and alliances and sector of production of public goods and services of public administration. (2) observing of principles of participation and consensus of economic and social partners, and (3) precise and transparent professionalisation and decentralisation of functions of public regulation of economy and economic development. The third thesis is that for realisation of the project of reindustrialisation it is necessary to create conditions for constituting of good business environment in the function of stimulation of (private) production
investments into exporting industries. The fourth one is that the development of good business environment depends much more on internal factors than on the external surroundings. In accordance with the above, the appropriate solutions for constituting of good business environment in the function of reindustrialisation of Serbia should be looked for in: (1) the development of stimulative market and institutional environment for the development and more complete employment of available economic, technological and human potentials with the optimum allocation of production factors and development based on cooperation of all stakeholders of modern industry, supplemented with harmonised and efficient public regulation of economy and economic
development, and (2) intensification of structural changes in market, technological, organisational and cost performances of agricultural estates, industrial enterprises, business activities and complexes.

Abstract
|
We have argued in this text that the questions of value are fundamental to understanding the relationships between economy and culture, and that economic and cultural value must be separated as distinct concepts in any theoretical construction of value in economical and cultural discourse. It may be that fundamental ideas, occurring in both economic and cultural theory, can indeed provide a common starting point from which the formation of value might proceed. But it is in elaboration of notions of value, and the transformation of value either into economic price or into some assessment of cultural worth, where the two fields diverge. Economists are deluding themselves if they claim that economics can encompass cultural value entierly within its ambit and that the metods of economic assessment are capable of capturing all relevant aspects of cultural value in their net. In the manysided debate about in contemporary economics settings, the tendency for a predominant economic interpretation of the world, deriving from the ubiquity and power of the modern economic paradigm, must be resisted, if important elements of cultural value are not to be overlooked. If we are serious about striving for theoretical completeness, and eventually for operational validity in decisionmaking, it is essential that cultural value be admitted alongside economic value in the consideration of the overall value of cultural goods and services.

Abstract
|
Realization of the engineering project, except technical correctness, is based on economic justification. Engineering economy is occupied with this problem through systematic analysis of interest and timemoney relation. The difference between projects requires different analyses of capital and money investments; therefore there isn't unique method for evaluating economic justification of project solution. Decision about economic justification of project solution is brought on the basis of analyses of methods for evaluating economic profitability of suggested project solution. On the other hand, it is pointed on project liquidity by the payback period method.

Abstract
|
The fact is that during last ten to fifteen years, Montenegro industry has suffered breakdown, that is, comedown and huge difficulties. Therefore, its comprehensive recovery needs huge financial means and
employment of all available resources. Besides, economy of Montenegro needs to be restructured and Strategy of industrial development of Montenegro is to be brought. Orientation towards tourism development, traffic and agriculture won't be sufficient in the 21st century so as to ensure increased need for capital. The issue is about the need to shape investment cycle through investing into renewal-construction along with restructuring of present Montenegrin industry. It is therefore essential to prepare innovated structure of industrial development oriented on export, port-transporting services, connecting all branches of transportation by means of integral and multimodal transport, centers for transportation of goods and container terminals; opening of the port and industrial free zones and off shore centers , which would allow for realization of models of so called open economy and entrance into the developed world in the second decade of the 21st century. However, all that process should be scientifically based, so as to unite efforts and re-cent intentions on the levels of macro and micro development of local environments and growth of Montenegrin economy. That is why the author of this research paper suggests important substances of research, methodology and direction of development.

Abstract
|
If a society cannot understand what to do, it should be explained. It is impossible to construct the advanced market, without consideration in a design of economy the requirements of its laws just as it is necessary to take into account the requirement of the law of gravitation in a design of the plane. The market will destroy economy as well as the law of gravitation will destroy the plane. What does the market need from
business economy? Productivity. It always was a basis of economic life. The economic model adequate to the market, which will reproduce the enterprises on modern technologies, is necessary for human community. The author offers such model in the form of innovative-reproductive price (IRP). There cannot be a priceless model as the market is operated by prices. It will generate such relations of production in which conditions of the enterprise will feel necessity of constant updating. The design of model is so that the enterprises cannot succeed
in the market without updating technologies continuously because the basic elements of the economic knowledge are: updating and continuity.

Abstract
|
This article will try to explain the substance of consensus theory, its characteristics and significance for economic theory, since the French conventionalists formulated it as an alternative not only to neoclassical theory of rationality and relevant mythological individualism but also to institutional determinism. Author of this article a) examines specific interpretation of norms of behaviour of representatives of the theory, through the prism of realistic existence of numerous forms of coordination and conventions and b) tries to fill in the incomplete matrix of institutional subsystems with his own logical categories.
